Newly renamed Carmen KC started in 2019 as Carmen Sororum, which means “Sisters of Song” in Latin. Spearheaded by Dr. Sheri Cook-Cunningham, Carmen KC has a unique format in that the director’s duties are shared, giving singers a variety of leadership perspectives each season.
Carmen KC embraces new and original music with empowering themes.The choir focuses on performing meaningful works that uplift and inspire, creating meaningful experiences for their audiences.
Currently under the leadership of Dr. Cook-Cunningham, Dr. Melissa Grady, Elizabeth Fleeger-Mulkey, and Roxanne Martin, CarmenKC enters its sixth season with an exciting series of concerts.
